This is the full video of the very first time I held Makenna. The only time I held her while she was alive. Trevor stopped recording when the nurse asked him if he wanted to come over and put his hands under mine so we could get some pictures. We had gotten to the NICU around 8pm to drop off my newest pump and to say goodnight. The nurse told us they would be changing her bedding soon and I could hold her while they changed it. I was freaking out. I was so worried about breaking her or doing something wrong. Imagine that as a "normal" mom...being afraid to hold your own baby. I held her for 5 minutes and I don't think I even blinked. I have never felt a love like the love I have for my daughter.

This little munchkin was so wiggly. The nurses and doctors kept telling us it was such a good thing that she moved so much. She had to have all of her lines heavily taped onto her because she moved so much she ripped her monitors off multiple times a day.
